Identity Installation
For my B.F.A. senior thesis project I wanted to try and summarize my journey as a designer by exploring my identity in a visual and non-traditional medium. As a designer it seems I am perpetually creating artifacts that go into the world and my representation of me likewise is made of many individual smaller pieces with with their own purposes. Yet, these pieces are related and act as part of a larger singular composition or idea. The larger piece is both three-dimensional and substantial, but remains a sense of openness and transparency. The piece also has many facets, content of the individual "tiles," themes connecting multiple "tiles," the many perspective compositions that viewing it in the round allows, and the larger typographic "ME" that the pieces combine to make at just the right vantage point. Collectively, they all speak to the larger image of how I view myself, while speaking to the myriad of interest and ideals that inspire me.
